December 1, 2023 - Julie Pace, executive editor and senior vice president at The Associated Press, will come to 51ΑΤΖζ on Dec. 7 to present a lecture as part of the Six@Six Lecture Series. This is the 15th consecutive year 51ΑΤΖζ has hosted a lecture by The Associated Press. 

Pace’s lecture, presented by the Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement is titled β€œJournalism in the 21st Century: Rising to the Challenge,”. Pace will discuss the state of journalism as it evolves in the digital world and adapts to new challenges, such as social media, digital journalism, and artificial intelligence. 

Appointed as the third consecutive woman to lead The Associated Press in 2021, Pace was previously the AP’s Washington bureau chief covering the administrations of President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, as well as national security and Washington politics. She first joined the AP in 2007 and is frequently seen as a guest analyst/panelist on ABC, CNN, and Fox.
